A gold medalist during his medical studies, he has carried this streak into the profession. He founded the Department of Nephrology at Apollo Excelcare Hospital, setting a benchmark for advanced kidney care in the region. In concurrence with his vision to bring standard of care practices to northeast region, Dr. Saraf was the first to initiate adsorbent therapies like Cytosorb for critically ill patients in ICU, first ABO incompatible and first Swap transplants in Assam. He started regular interventional nephrology services in the department and looking forward to initiating fellowship courses to build a capable and skilled set of young doctors, which would help to spread these services to interiors of Assam.
